Favorite Photo from Lecture

This was one of my favorite photos from the lecture mostly because of it's straight forwardness.  Anyone who looks at this picture doesn't have to look really into it or find some kind of underlying meaning, they can look right at it and understand exactly what the photographer was trying to convey.  The viewer not only gets a sense of struggle with the sign, but the struggle of everyday life from the word "damaged."  Given where we are today in our society the viewer might also be able to relate to this image and really feel a certain emotion from this photo.  Any photo that someone can connect with and understand without having to take the really artistic and hidden meaning approach is, to me, a very successful one.
